At the hart of the iCUBE AS/RS – The 3D-Carrier
The 3D-Carriers are the robotized semi-autonomous shuttles that make the iCUBE AS/RS possible.
Fully designed and built in-house, the 3D-Carrier is a ground-breaking logistics solution that reduces the costs of a fully automated AS/RS compared to conventional equipment, while increasing the flexibility and modularity of the warehouse.
Using this technology, warehouses with small throughputs can fully automate with just one or two carriers, while warehouses where throughput is high can deploy more 3D-Carriers and ensure capacity requirements are met.
The 3D-Carriers are controlled using our proprietary control and registration software, that offers a vast array of coupling possibilities with external ERP/SAP software used by the customer.
Amongst other features, our software also includes task scheduling capabilities as well as dynamic sequencing capabilities that makes the most of existing space and that can deliver unmatched flexibility during peaks.
The 3D-Carriers use industry-grade 120ah Li-ion batteries, that offer up to 6 hours of continuous operation. The batteries also support fast charging and can be fully charged within 30 minutes.
Our warehouse control software automatically ensures the 3D-Carriers get sent to the charging spots if they reach a low battery state.
Warehouse Control Software(WCS)
The iCUBE is controlled with our own Warehouse Control System (WCS), through which the entire automation is controlled automatically. The tasks can be given either automatically using a link to the company’s ERP system, or tasks can be entered by an operator using the WCS’s intuitive graphical user interface.
The WCS uses advanced algorithms to manage the iCUBE automatically and control inbound and outbound pallet transfers without the need for user interference for each individual machine operation.
Task priority, task scheduling, reorganise tasks as well as complex transport plans can all be easily controlled using our intelligent WCS.
Our WCS can be configured according to the needs of the warehouse and automatic protocols can be set for reorganising pallets during down-time, preparing them for shipment according to the pending outbound shipment orders.
Despite being highly complex and durable, the 3D-Carrier also stands out because of it’s very compact size.
This was definitely a design goal for us! We needed to make the 3D-Carrier as thin as possible, so that our automation doesn’t add undesired extra height to each level of the iCUBE – Wouter Roemer, Chief Design Engineer

The iCUBE AS/RS solutions from Logiqs featuring work in conjunction with our Dat-A-Control software so that operation of the machines is fully automatic without requiring worker intervention.
The warehouse foreman can fully personalise their work-flow using Dat-A-Control and take advantage of our many useful features such as: Transport plants for multiple pallets and multiple transfers, locations with job triggers, automate movements for outbound or inbound flows.
